Open Mic Night at Hammonton Bagel Cafe 8/5/05

BackYard got the evening started once again with a set of original songs and some favorite covers. Before BackYard left the stage they were joined by Joe Brauckmann for some harmonica driven blues. Sorry we didn't get your picture Joe. We'll make sure we do next time. After Joe our other guest performers came out to do their stuff.

Jeff and Joel

New comers to our Hammonton Bagel Open Stage, Joel Franke and Jeff treated us to Joel's original music. We look forward to Joel playing for us again.

Next we had a return apearance by local favorites "Ruby Weapon". We got to hear a couple of their original songs and a White Stripe cover. Very nice! We look forward to them coming back any time.

Jai, Britt, Lauren and Matt

Coonie (Jack) and Giz (Robert)

Next were some other local musicians "Coonie and Giz" who decided to come out and entertain us with some Bob Dylan tunes. These guys knew what they were doing and could have probably played all night.

For their last song they had BackYard Bob join in on a rendition of the Stones tune, "Dead Flowers". That was FUN!!! Keep your guitars out boys and come on back next month.

Lee Wanicur
Last on our list of performers for the evening was a guitarist from Philadelphia named Lee Wanicur. Lee has a very unique, percussive style of playing his guitar that just mesmerizes you.

Lee's style of playing puts his hands all over his guitar giving you sounds your just not use to hearing from a guitar. Lee's music is mellow, exiting, and entising. We absolutely hope that Lee comes back to play for us again!! Thanks for being there Lee.

Lee closing the show.

That brought our show to an end. We thank all the performers for coming out and sharing in a night of Live Music. Thanks to everyone else that came out to listen also.

We also need to Thank Sue and Nat from Hammonton Bagel for allowing us to have our monthly event!

Hope we'll see you at the next "Open Mic".
