Open Mic Night at Hammonton Bagel Cafe 10/7/05
Another great night of live music. Everyone sounded great and did a
fantastic job. We thank all our regular performers, newcomers, and the great
audience we had. It was a packed house once again and the music flowed all night
long. So here's a little recap of the evening.
BackYard got the evening started once again
with
some of their favorite covers.
Ruler of My
Heart by Nora Jones and the Dirty Dozen
Brass Band
Like A Hurricane by Neil Young
Can't Let Go by Lucinda Williams

 Rink,
Joe, Annette, Bob

|
Jill Gazzarra
Starting out the evening was a
local girl who has been with us before.
|
Jilly sang some classic covers for
us accompanied by Rink and Bob. Her rendition of Sara MacGlaughlin's Ice
Cream Song was terrific as were the other songs she sang.
|
 |
Burke
Next came one of our regular favorites, Burke, who treated us to some of his original songs and had Rink accompany him with some
drum backup. Always great having Burke with us.
|
|
Kris Noyes
Then our friend Kris Noyes came
on and gave
us some of his classic covers.
Kris had Burke play some
harmonica on one song and Backyard Bob play guitar with him on another.
Kris is always there to support us and it is always a pleasure having him with us!!

Adam Shaber
After Kris we had a newcomer to our Hammonton
Bagel stage. Adam Shaber, a 13 year old singer/songwriter, played some
cover tunes and an original song about Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans.
One of his covers was a Pink Floyd tune. Impressive that he knew of Pink
Floyd. Great Job Adam!!!

|
Paul
After Adam, another good friend, Paul Mulle. Paul always plays lively tunes that we
all enjoy and sing along with. Paul is also a regular at the Coffee Works Cafe
Open Mic on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
Thanks for coming out Paul.

Ruby Weapon
This group of talented musicians keeps coming out and
showing us that young people can play great music too. Since Jai stepped
into the bass guitar position the girls grabbed themselves a new
drummer. They also treated us to a new original song.
Great job!!

The night was still going
strong and next was a guy who came out for his second time. John
T.
